I went to the first ad in the yellow pages after calling a former company who couldn't get to me for another week. I was able to get same day service with Precision. The tech that came was purposeful in checking out the whole door. The spring had broken, which is what I called in for, but the tech did a complete inspection of all moving components of the door. The door is 20+ years old. He was able to show the worn parts and the need for an overhaul. I was given options of a bandaid fix or a thorough repair that would give me a much better result, plus a lifetime guarantee. All of this can be expensive but I knew I had already had multiple repairs over the last 10 years that were apparently bandaids, and were expensive in and of themselves. I appreciated the techs desire to do a great job and not simply put that bandaid on it as the other company had done. I didn't feel the tech was necessarily trying to "sell" anything, even though he did get the sell. He showed me the reasons and need for hardware replacement.
