Disappointed to say the least with your service on a 5 year old garage door opener that you sold new. The $65.00 for a fifteen min. service charge for something you don't stock parts should have been explained when making the appointment for service. The original cost of the opener was $500.00 including installation, your quote of $400.00 and 3 weeks to replace a blown circuit board seemed high but the $900.00 replacement was a no-brainer when compared to your competitor's $200.00 to repair or $500.00 replacement both within a week quote. Good luck with your business your going to need it at this rate.

I had to replace two older (12+ year-old) chain drive openers after one of them started malfunctioning. It was easy to make an appointment for service and there was good communication to confirm and to remind me about the appt. The technician, Matt C. was prompt, professional, and courteous. 1. Did we meet your expectations? 2. Did we solve your problem? No, primarily because the technician could find no solution to the door damaging the vinyl trim when it opens up. To be fair, some have said that if the garage door opening was not curved at either end but squared off, then this would not happen. If it is a matter of how the doors are cut, then why hasn't my second garage door damaged the vinyl trim? Is it possible that there is a difference in how my 5-year old Precision Linear PDS800 Belt Driven D/C Powered Opener (associated with the damaged vinyl trim) and my 19-year old Lift Master Professional 1/2 H.P. (that hasn't damaged the trim) have been engineered? I don't know! 3. Were the people who represent our company courteous and professional? Were they helpful? The technician who came out, Matt, was all of these things and more! He went out of his way to find a solution to this problem. Fantastic all the way around! 4. Was there anything in our advertising that gave you more confidence? Not particularly. 5. Final thoughts: Although we customers should know that most companies charge a truck fee regardless of whether the issue is resolved or not, I think it would be a good customer service detail if the office that sets the appointment tells the customer that there will be a truck charge even if the problem isn't resolved ... "Do you still wish us to come out?" Trust me, it would be much appreciated!
